Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in North America, and the 5th highest free-falling waterfall in the world at 2,425 feet.
The Mariposa Grove, near Yosemite's South Entrance, contains about 500 mature giant sequoias. Giant sequoias are perhaps the largest living things on Earth at almost three thousand years old and 96 feet around at base.
In the winter months, Yosemite Badger Pass Ski and Snowboard Area offers vacationers five lifts, nine downhill runs, and miles of cross-country skiing and snowboarding.
El Capitan is one of the largest exposed granite monoliths in the world, standing 3,593 feet from base to summit.
Tuolumne Meadows, at 8,575 feet elevation, is the largest sub-alpine meadow in the Sierra Nevada's.
Glacier Point, the High Sierra at its best, has breathtaking views of the Valley floor and spectacular waterfalls.
The Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, just a few miles from A Bed of Roses, is an exciting 4-mile railroad excursion at Yosemite Park's south gate on Highway 41.
There are two beautiful golf courses in the area. Wawona Golf, located just inside the south entrance to Yosemite (15 miles from us).
